Investigate the extension of novel, multi-armed bandit-inspired strategies for small Markov Decision Processes to larger models, with a particular emphasis on developing improvements to IMED-RL, a model-based and asymptotically optimal algorithm. We use function approximation (statistical and deep learning) to extend IMED-RL and provide efficient solutions to high-dimensional problems.
